Rename a team's general channel
Update the name of your team's general channel to better suit your team's requirements and enhance its visibility in the teams and channels list. Team owners and members with the appropriate permissions can rename the general channel.
When Creating a New Team, you can now choose the Name of the First Channel.
Your team's first channel
Every team has at least one channel. The first one will be created when your team is created. The description will match that of your team (if one was given).
Note: Your initial channel was previously known as the general channel, but you can now rename it in previously created Teams.
You can add additional channels if necessary, but this initial channel will always remain. It cannot be archived or deleted.
